Road Side Stop: World’s Largest Easel

Our first stop in Kansas was just across the Colorado border in the town of Goodland.  Goodland, Kansas is home to the World’s Largest Easel.  IMG_0428

According to the sign at the park, the easel is 80 feet tall and the painting is a representation of “Tree Sunflowers” by Vincent VanGogh.

It was interesting, but I’m not really sure why it is there.  I guess just for something to do?  There was a lady from Canada there painting a painting of the painting.  Besides us, she was the only one there.

As you can see with the kids and M under it, it is pretty big.  Not sure it was really worth stopping for other than to stretch our legs, though.   Hopefully our next stop would prove more interesting!
